Experience is encouraged but not required. We love what we do, and are looking for individuals who can jump right in and share that type of
philosophy. This company works with the seasons, so our effort and layout is always evolving. New England brings these challenges…one minute we’re planting a new garden in the spring, and the next we’re shoveling snow. We are open year-round so please feel free to call with any questions.
There are 3 different departments within Shady Hill that we are looking for hire:
Garden Center & Yard: Working in the Garden Center entails multiple tasks. You can expect to be performing tasks primarily with customer service (cashier, answering phones, taking orders, assisting customers). Other jobs include watering, loading plants, moving plants, creating displays and planting.
Landscape Department: We have two divisions within this department.
Landscape Division: installing beds, plantings, mulching, etc.
Hardscape Division: installing patios, retaining walls, irrigation and lighting
Maintenance Department: Working at properties outside of the Garden Center for residential or commercial customers.
Lawn Maintenance: mowing, weed-trimming, raking, blowing, etc.
Bed & Container Maintenance: weeding, light mulching, planting, and trimming
