shady hill nursery stock warranty policy as of april 15, 2023

For guarantee to be valid, all claims of tree/shrub losses must be made before the end of the guarantee period and customer must provide their original Shady Hill receipt.

Shady Hill Greenhouses is not responsible for replacement of trees and shrubs that have not been properly maintained (improperly planted, improperly located, over or under watered, etc.), natural disasters such as storms or floods, insect damage, damage by snow plows, or winter damage such as broken branches from snow crush, dried out foliage from winter wind and dry air. Application of Wiltproof in the fall is recommended for winter protection. 

Trees and shrubs installed by Shady Hill are guaranteed from the date of installation for a year OR through May 31^st of the following year, whichever comes first.  For trees and shrubs purchased at retail price, a one-time plant replacement of equal value or a store credit for 100% of the purchase price of the tree or shrub will be provided. For trees and shrubs purchased on sale, a store credit for the amount paid will be provided and can be used towards a new purchase. Labor to reinstall will be billed at the normal hourly rate.

Trees and shrubs installed by the customer are guaranteed for 3 months from the date of purchase. For trees and shrubs purchased at retail price, a one-time replacement of equal value or a store credit for 100% of the purchase price of the tree or shrub will be provided.

Trees and shrubs purchased on sale are excluded from the guarantee.
Trees and shrubs will not be replaced more than once and the guarantee does not apply to any replacement plants.

Japanese Holly, Rhododendron, Andromeda, & Mountain Laurel are only guaranteed until December 31 of year purchased.

This guarantee does not apply to annuals, perennials, roses, seeds, bulbs, mums, or any products other than trees or shrubs.

This warranty is void without the original Shady Hill receipt.
